Demographic Information

The Rock Valley Community School District is located in Rock Valley, Iowa, a northwest Iowa town along Highway 18.  The school is an integral part of the good community life in this area.  It's cultural and athletic events are fully supported and well attended by area residents.

Area residents and businesses work hand-in-hand with students and faculty to insure excellence.

Rock Valley Community Schools is also serviced by the Northwest Area Educadtion Agency.  This supports an efficiently operated school which delivers top quality education.

Philosophy and Goals
 
It is the philosophy of the Rock Valley Community Schools to provide an orderly, safe, caring and nuturing evironment. Our graduates will demonstrate a mastery of learning which will be appropriate to their learning levels.  In addition, our graduates will develop socially, emotionally and physically in order to function in a democratic society.  The goals of the Rock Valley Community Schools are:
  1. To provide the student with an opportunity to develop the mental, physical, emotional and social skills so they may take part in a democratic society.

  2. To provide practicual experiences for the students so that they may be responsible citizens of their communities.

  3. To enable students to adapt to a rapidly changing society.

  4. To encourage and provide for lifelong learning which may be of benefit to the student.
